What Is Louisiana Lagniappe PTSA?
Louisiana Lagniappe PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) is a brand new state-wide PTSA. There are many reasons why someone would join a state-wide PTSA such as you’d like to support the mission of PTA, you don’t have a PTA at your school, your school’s PTA isn’t a good fit for your family, or your children are homeschooled. A PTSA has a special emphasis on and inclusion of students. All Lagniappe PTSA members are also members of Louisiana PTA and National PTA. Dues are $5/person and are good from July 1 to June 30 of each year.
Members are eligible to participate in LAPTA and National PTA programs, grants, and awards such as the Reflections Program which celebrates six areas in the arts. They become part of the oldest and biggest child advocacy organization in the country. National PTA is 125 years old with millions of members, and Louisiana PTA is in its centennial year!
Another reason is to join the millions of PTA members who advocate for students across the Nation to help all children reach their potential. Plus, have your voice heard with those who listen and take action.
